We are saddened to announce the passing of our former school principal, Sr. Kathleen Sullivan, CSJ. Sr. Kathleen tirelessly our children and families at St. Francis Xavier for over 40 years and was a wonderful presence in the Park Slope community.
She was tough and strong yet deeply compassionate and empathetic towards the children and families she welcomed into her life and heart. Nothing would make her happier than knowing the goodness she has put forth and the happy and productive lives of her former students and their families.
The wake for Sr. Kathleen will be held at:
Saint Francis Xavier Church this Thursday from 2pm -5pm and 7pm-9pm
The mass will be at:
St. Francis Xavier Church on Friday at 9:45 a.m.
Beginning July 5th the school office will be open from 8 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. The school office will be closed will be closed from August 21st through August 25, and on Fridays in July and August, as well as Friday, September 1, 2017. The office will re-open on Monday, August 28th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
St. Francis Xavier Catholic Academy will be having a summer school/enrichment program. Classes will begin on Wednesday, July 5th and end Thursday, August 3rd from 9 a.m. – 12 noon. The general program will concentrate on basic skills in reading and mathematics for children in the present grades 1 to 7.
A special program for 7th grade students entering 8th grade in September in being offered for the entrance to Catholic high schools test. The fee for this course is $275. with a $25.00 registration fee. There is an additional $20.00 book fee.
The fee for the remedial summer school program is $275.00 with a @25.00 registration fee.

The Theresa Liu Avitabile Scholarship Fund: Through the generosity of Mr. Avitabile’s donation of $ 1,000.00 two of our students who attend St. Paul and St. Agnes have received a $500 tuition scholarship.
